The Infiniti Performance Line (IPL) family of models just got a little bigger, with the addition of the 2013 G convertible. We had previously seen concepts of the new open-top model at the 2010 Paris Motor Show and more recently at the 2011 New York Auto Show back in April. The Performance Line product receives a bit of a power boost over its standard predecessor in the form of 18ph and 6lb-ft of torque. The modest upgrade in performance gives the 2013 G a total output of 343hp and 273lb-ft of torque.

Infiniti didn't just focus on the new G's power, as the exterior and interior received some love as well. A new front bumper and redesigned fascia complete with integrated fog lights give the model a new overall feel, along with chrome exhaust tips and sculpted side sills. The seats and steering wheel are wrapped in red-stitched leather and contrast nicely with the convertables two available finishes of either Malbec black or Moonlight white. The 2013 IPL G convertible prices at $5,500 more than the standard three-piece power-retractable hardtop model. It is currently on display at the 2011 LA Auto Show.
