The 2020 Lamborghini Urus has been selling faster than the company can build them since it first arrived on the market. The SUV has quickly become Lamborghini's best-selling model and in just two years on the market, it has already hit a major sales milestone. Lamborghini has just announced the production of Urus chassis number 10,000, destined for the Russian market.

This particular Urus is finished in Nero Noctis Matt (black) and is combined with the carbon fiber package and two-tone Ad Personam interior with black and orange leather and carbon fiber trim. It is a more conservative color but Lamborghini has also added bright new hues for 2021, including Giallo Inti (yellow), Arancio Borealis (orange), and Verde Mantis (green).

To put into perspective just how successful the Urus has been for Lamborghini, the Gallardo, the company's former best-selling model of all time, only sold 14,033 units over an entire decade. The Lamborghini Huracan was able to dethrone the Gallardo but it took four years to reach the 10,000 unit mark. This means the Urus was able to hit 10,000 units in half the time of the Huracan and it will likely surpass the V10 supercar in overall sales in the coming years.

In the first full sales year back in 2019, Lamborghini delivered 4,962 units of the Urus SUV. Even during a global pandemic, the company has managed to produce more cars than last year. These sales clearly show that even customers with vast amounts of wealth are still preferring high-riding SUVs over low-slung sports cars.

The Urus is powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 producing 641 horsepower and 627 lb-ft of torque. It can already hit 60 mph in just 3.6 seconds, though with sales this strong, we won't be shocked when faster, more powerful versions eventually arrive on the market,
