If rumors are to be believed, Bugatti will be unveiling a new limited-edition hypercar at Pebble Beach next month, one year after the Divo debuted at the same event. Unfortunately, details are extremely scarce, with sources claiming the mystery hypercar will be produced in limited numbers and is expected to cost even more than the Chiron.

Chances are it will be based on the Chiron and feature a bespoke body like the Divo, unless Bugatti is planning to unveil the long-awaited Chiron Super Sport. The new Bugatti isn't the only major hypercar debut happening at Pebble Beach, however.

According to The Supercar Blog, Lamborghini will be presenting the LB48H hybrid supercar at Pebble Beach to rival the likes of the Ferrari SF90 Stradale, Aston Martin Valkyrie and Mercedes-AMG One. The new Lamborghini supercar is expected to be named Unico.

Sources have told the publication that production of the Unico will be limited to just 63 examples with an estimated price tag of $2.5 million each. The styling is also expected to be inspired by the Terzo Millenio concept unveiled in 2017 so it should look pretty striking, while the proportions are expected to be similar to the Aventador.

Lamborghini's first hybrid supercar is expected to be powered by the Aventador's 6.5-liter, naturally aspirated V12 engine tuned to produce 789 hp. An extra 49 hp will reportedly be supplied by an electric motor, bringing the total output to 838 hp.

If the report is true, we don't have to wait very long for the Lamborghini Unico to break cover as the Pebble Beach auto show kicks off in California on August 15. Nothing has been officially confirmed by Lamborghini, but it's worth noting that a previous report claimed the Unico will debut at Frankfurt in September. Either way, this year will mark the start of an exciting new era for Lamborghini.
