Lamborghini Launches India Edition Gallardo

Special Editions / 26 Comments

As we await the Gallardo's successor with baited breath, Lamborghini has introduced yet another special edition model.

It's made special editions for China, Malaysia, and Hong Kong, so why not India? Limited to just six examples for the Indian market, the limited edition rear-wheel-drive Gallardo LP550-2 has been rolled out as part of the Italian carmaker's 50th anniversary celebrations. Available in Arancio Borealis (orange), Bianco Monocerus (white) and Verde Ithaca (green) corresponding to the colors of the Indian flag, the Gallardos all come with tricolor stripes running the length of the car.

The tricolor theme continues in the black interior, with green stitching on the driver's seat, orange on the passenger's, and white on the dash, doors and center console. Under the hood lies the familiar 5.2-liter V10, rated at 550 and 398 lb-ft of torque, hooked up to a six-speed automatic transmission. Pictures come courtesy of CarWhale.
