A new Raging Bull is about to leave the stable, as evidenced by several teasers from Lamborghini. This new supercar is called the SCV12 (Squadra Corse V12) and based on the Lamborghini Aventador SVJ, which is an excellent starting point. According to Lamborghini, this is the most powerful V12 engine it has ever produced, with power estimates expect to reach around 830 horsepower. Along with that massive grunt, the V12 will sound pretty good too.

Some leaked patent images showed us what the SCV12 looks like, but now, Lamborghini has posted an official teaser right on its main website. The teaser reads, "New Model Launch Stay Tuned," so a reveal is likely imminent.

The teaser itself is pretty dark, so it's tough to see precisely how the SCV12 looks. Since this won't be a road-legal car, it does not need features like headlights, marker lights, or a pedestrian-safe front end. Not having to design the SCV12 to be street-legal has allowed the designers to go mad with the styling, creating what is essentially a race car. Inside, the supercar should have a spartan cabin, with items like air conditioning and infotainment eliminated in order to keep the weight down.

Unlike the Aventador, power is said to be routed to the rear wheels only through a six-speed sequential transmission. A 0-60 mph of under three seconds is expected, as are some blisteringly quick lap times.

Lamborghini has not announced official pricing or production numbers, though the SCV12 will certainly be low-volume. Early rumors predict only 40 will be produced, and if previous limited edition Lambos like the Sesto Elemento act as any indication, the price tag should be seven digits. The lucky owners will also be invited to advanced driving programs across the globe with Lamborghini.

This is likely the final teaser before the SCV12 is fully revealed, so get ready for the most extreme Lamborghini model to date.
