Just wait until the SUV drops. These numbers could double.
The first six months of 2016 have been excellent for Lamborghini as it has delivered 2,013 vehicles. To put that into perspective, Lamborghini only sold 2,560 cars in all of 2014, and those sales were a 19% increase over 2013. In 2015 the automaker moved over 3,000 units. These awesome sales figures can probably be attributed to the popular Huracan, which comes in many variants. Lamborghini has sold 1,370 Huracans so far, an 87% increase over Gallardo sales. The company has also sold 643 Aventadors.
This is a 127% increase over Murcielago sales. The Huracan is extremely accessible for first-time supercar owners, and we understand why it is such a sales success for Lamborghini. The company set a sales record in the first six months of 2016, and these numbers will only increase when it finally launches its long-awaited SUV. Lamborghini expects that its SUV could sell as many as 3,000 units alone. This could almost double the company's sales numbers. We love hearing about Lamborghini's success, but we can't help but think that with so many sales the cars are starting to get a bit less special.
