In a press release about redesigning its museum for its 60th anniversary, Lamborghini talks about "a year of unexpected activities and events," which may include the reveal of a Countach 60 Anniversario. In the summer of last year, we found a trademark application by Lamborghini with the European Union Intellectual Property Office for the name "60 Anniversario" and a logo to go along with it. That logo now appears at the museum.

Our educated guess is that the 60 Anniversario suffix will be applied to a special edition Countach, as it uses the same horn insignia on the '800' of the LPI 800-4 designation for the recently reborn Lamborghini Countach model.

"2023 will be a year full of original activities and developments, which opens with this new museum destination. We will celebrate our first sixty years through international events, initiatives and unexpected activities, which we will reveal during the year," said Stephan Winkelmann, Chairman and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini at the official opening of the redesigned museum.

"We started from a challenge that Ferruccio Lamborghini took up at the beginning of the 1960s, which the company developed through pioneering and revolutionary ideas in the years that followed to write the history of the time and deliver innovations that have shaped the path of luxury super sports cars. Lamborghini always has and always will be a brand that never stops looking to the future."

Lamborghini, however, does like to look at the past, and the Countach was a landmark car for the company. Of course, we could be wrong, or Lamborghini could additionally do something that would truly mark its 60th anniversary by bringing back the name of its first car for a special edition. The 350 GTV came out in 1963, the same year Automobili Lamborghini established itself in Sant'Agata Bolognese, Italy.

The Museo Automobili Lamborghini opened with a new exhibit called "The Future Began In 1963" and features 19 of what Lamborghini describes as hero cars, including the 350 GTV, of the Lamborghini story.
