Already the Lamborghini Urus is a massive success for the Italian supercar company. Described as the world's first "Super SUV," the Urus will double Lamborghini's sales on a global level by the end of next year. Impressive. But how will it ultimately decide to spend those expected profits? After all, Lamborghini doubled the size of its Sant'Agata production facility specifically to build the Urus. Is there room to spare? Apparently so.

N/A

Speaking to Australia's Motoring, Lamborghini CEO Stefano Domenicali acknowledged plans to launch a fourth model line, but it's not happening immediately. "We're going to think of introducing another model … but in the second part (of the next decade) - 2025 to 2030 - in that range. Not before. It would be wrong," he said. What could that fourth model ultimately be? Domenicali reiterated he simply does not know yet, as discussions are still underway. We do have a couple of guesses, based on past concept precedent: a front-engined grand tourer or a sedan.

Both would, theoretically, ride on the same platform underpinning the Bentley Continental GT and Porsche Panamera, which would also allow for a hybrid powertrain. Previously, when Lamborghini was run by now Bugatti CEO Stephan Winkelmann, it introduced the Estoque sedan and Asterion coupe. Both looked totally doable, even as concepts. Why did neither make production, at least so far? Because Lamborghini didn't have the resources in place yet, despite being part of the Volkswagen Group. With Urus production up and running, Lamborghini has an annual production goal of 10,000 units annually.

Combined with the extra cash flow and expanded manufacturing space, the stars are now aligned for yet another all-new Lamborghini model line. What will it be? Not even Lamborghini knows for sure yet, only that something is being planned. In the meantime, Lamborghini is preparing for the inevitable Urus competitors. "We see a lot of competitors attacking for the lower side of it...but we still have the time to discuss. And to make sure that we are once again different from the others," Domenicali said.
