Ask anyone what their favorite Hollywood movie car is, and they'll probably answer with choices like the Ford Mustang 390 GT in 'Bullitt,' the elusive Eleanor Mustang from 'Gone in 60 Seconds', the DeLorean DMC 12 time machine from 'Back to the Future,' the Batmobile, or James Bond's Aston Martin DB5.

A car that probably won't make their list is the armored taxi from 'Judge Dredd.' And no, we're not referring to the beloved 2012 cult film 'Dredd' - we're talking about the dreadful 1995 'Judge Dredd' movie starring Sylvester Stallone that most fans would rather forget.

While Hollywood films have turned real-world cars into stars, vehicle designers for science fiction movies and video games like Cyberpunk 2077 have the creative freedom to design futuristic cars with wacky designs. For the 1995 'Judge Dredd' film, Land Rover built 31 futuristic armored taxis based on the Land Rover 101 Forward Control military truck from the 1970s, which explains the truck's utilitarian aesthetic.

To fit the dystopian setting (the film is set in the year 2139), Land Rover fitted a custom fiberglass body. Being based on a Land Rover 101 Forward Control, the armored taxi is powered by a 3.5-liter V8 producing 120 horsepower and features a four-wheel-drive system.

If you fancy owning this unusual piece of movie car history, one of the armored taxi props used in the film is currently listed for sale on Craigslist. According to the listing, the motor still "starts and runs," but you won't be able to take it out on the road because it isn't street legal, so it will most likely be showcased at events.

In 2003, this particular car won the best of show award at CES for JBL audio. Inside, the interior is barebones and doesn't even have an odometer. If you consider yourself a hardcore 'Judge Dredd' fan, the armored taxi is being sold for $25,000, but the seller is also accepting offers.
