Land Rover Discovery Gets Sporty Makeover By Startech

Tuning

You wouldn’t want to get this Land Rover Discovery dirty in the mud.

While the luxurious Land Rover Discovery is technically a very capable off-roader, let’s face it, they’re more commonly seen on the streets. Designed for owners that seldom use their SUV to tackle rough terrain, German tuner Startech is offering a new range of accessories that adds some extra style to the Land Rover Discovery, so you won’t want to get it dirty in the mud. Startech will be presenting its new street-wise Land Rover Discovery package at the upcoming Frankfurt Auto Show.

The show car displayed at Frankfurt will be finished with a special paint scheme with the hood and roof sporting a high-gloss black finish. At the front of Startech’s modified Discovery is a new sporty spoiler with disinctive raised side flaps that attaches to the production bumper and reduces front axle lift at high speeds thanks to its aerodynamic design. Matching the front is an add-on component for the rear bumper with a center section shaped like a diffuser, which can also be installed on models with a trailer hitch. Startech also offers Union Jack inserts for the front fenders that pay tribute to the SUV’s British origin.

Further enhancing Startech's sporty makeover for the Land Rover Discovery is a set of 22-inch Monostar M wheels featuring five double spokes and a wheel hub cover designed to look like a center lock. The wheels are wrapped in Continental low-profile tires measuring 295/40 R 22. Inside, Startech has enhanced the Discovery’s interior with scuff plates featuring a backlit logo and branded floor mats, as well as an aluminium footrest and pedals. Customers can further customize the cabin with Startech’s upholstery shop, with a variety of leather and Alcantara materials and an extensive choice of colors and upholstery designs.
