Many might know Land Rover for its luxury vehicles like the Range Rover, but this British car builder has an extremely rich history in motorsport, the military, and exploration and tends to celebrate that fact quite often with numerous special editions. We recently covered its latest special edition, the Classic Defender Works V8 Trophy II, a car that pays tribute to the legacy of global Land Rover expeditions such as the Camel Trophy, The First Overland, and the G4 Challenge. Only 25 of these ultra-exclusive cars will be offered to the public at a price of over $270k. If that's a bit out of your budget, you could go for this, an exclusive Elliot Brown Watch inspired by the latest Defender special edition.

Unlike its four-wheeled counterpart, this exclusive timepiece will be a bit more ubiquitous: a thousand of these watches will be offered for sale. Elliot Brown Watches, the official timekeeper of the Land Rover Trophy competition, has teamed up with the car manufacturer to offer a special tribute watch that features a unique camouflage design and glowing silhouettes of Land Rovers throughout its expedition history.

Based on the watchmaker's best-selling Holton Professional model, each watch features intricate detailing, with elements inspired by the limited run of 25 vehicles, such as camouflage patterns and outlines of 23 locations that have played a part in the Land Rover story. The dial features three colors of high-grade SuperLuminova that illuminate at night in Glow White, Ice Blue, and Pale Green. The watch also features black hands and a white lollipop counterbalance on the ice blue-tipped second hand.

This watch is offered alongside the exclusive Competitor's Edition watch (shown here), which is exclusively available to customers of the vehicle. The "regular" watch will be identical but will replace the word "Competitor's" with "Limited."

Finer details include the phrase "Freezing Point" at the base of the dial under the 6h baton and a frozen star at the 32 seconds position printed in Ice Blue. A soft rubber strap offers excellent comfort and aesthetics.

The watch can be purchased off of the Elliot Brown website for £595, or around $722 - much better than $270k for the car.
