EA Sports handed McLaren Formula 1 driver Lando Norris the brand-new "F1 2023" game to test out its new features including the new Las Vegas track. According to the 23-year-old driver, the upcoming installment has been improved in terms of gameplay and graphics. He's also happy with his character model this year.

Of course, Norris chose to drive on the Las Vegas track, which he said was his first time. Details such as the sounds of the car were commended, while the driving dynamics were said to feel more real, with the McLaren driver suggesting that the car "actually feels alive."

For the virtual race weekend, Norris qualified in P1 with a 1:38.719 lap, which is over three seconds faster than Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes-AMG Petronas) in P2. But despite a brilliant qualifying session, he finished in P20 after receiving a six-second penalty and experiencing unfamiliarity with the track layout and braking zones.

In the real world, the young British driver is currently in 11th place in the 2023 F1 Driver Standings with 12 points, racing alongside rookie Oscar Piastri in the MCL60. He saw a P9 finish at the latest Monaco Grand Prix, with Max Verstappen (Red Bull Racing) continuing to dominate by securing his fourth victory this season.

Outside of F1, Norris has been showing his great taste in cars. He recently got the keys to a 1 of 1 McLaren 765LT Spider loaded with carbon fiber. The supercar also comes with bespoke details including his very own LN4 branding.

It will take a while before the lights go out for the 2023 Las Vegas Grand Prix, as the season's penultimate race will be held from November 16 to 18.

But you can try the new track in Sin City virtually as the F1 2023 game will be released on June 16 across PlayStation 5 Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
