Of course it did.
Where else would Lamborghini open its biggest ever showroom then in the city where bigger is always better. Introducing its twelfth showroom in the Middle East and Africa region, Dubai Automobili Lamborghini “is preparing its international dealer network for the future.” Located on Sheik Zayed Road, exit 41, Dubai, the showroom and service center has some 1,800 square meters of space spread over three floors. The need for more space reflects Lamborghini’s model expansion with sales expected to double with the launch of the Urus SUV in 2018.
As Lamborghini expands its dealer network to support its model expansion, the Italian carmaker is also expanding its own factory in Sant’Agata Bolognese in Italy to support production of its $200,000 SUV, production of which is expected to start next month ahead of its global debut later this year. Despite representing the lion’s share of future models sold, Lamborghini CEO, Stefano Domenicali – who was at the opening of the new showroom in Dubai – has previously gone on record to say the Urus isn’t crucial to the long-term survival of the brand. After arriving with a 4.0-liter twin-turbo, the Lamborghini SUV will be offered as a plug-in hybrid while an all-electric model is also under consideration.
