Italdesign has been teasing us about its upcoming Geneva reveal for a while now via images focusing on different parts of its mystery new supercar. Very little has been revealed so far, but Italdesign has teased that it will be something "extraordinary," which could be an apt description if its futuristic Lamborghini Huracan-based GTZero from last year's show is anything to go by. The bespoke carmaker has now revealed the final teaser image of its mysterious supercar before its official debut – and it's the most revealing yet.

The focal point of the image is the supercar's sizable carbon fiber rear wing which dominates the rear end, hinting at something fast and very furious possibly with a mid-engine setup. We also get to see its thin horizontal taillights and a prominent Italdesign badge. Sadly, at this stage we still don't know what this secret supercar will be based on, or any of the specs, but since Volkswagen has a majority share in Italdesign it's likely to be either another Lamborghini or an Audi. Italdesign proclaims it will have a "powerful engine" and has "high performance." Pretty essential ingredients for a supercar, really.

On the plus side, unlike Italdesign's previous concepts, this model will be put into production as a road-going supercar, albeit in very limited numbers. And by limited, we really mean limited: only five are being built, which should make it highly desirable.
