The Ford Bronco and newly developed Bronco Sport have been hot on everyone's lips over the last 12 months, even more so lately in light of the recent leaks of both models. The launch of the Bronco Sport was expected to take place at the 2020 NY Auto Show, although with that being pushed back, the probability seems more likely that Ford might unveil the car digitally, and have one on display at the show when it takes place in August. Dealers are already ramping up preparation for the new model, as has become glaringly apparent after a member of the FullSizeBronco forum posted screenshots from the dealer order system, giving us a whole load of details about Ford's newest rough-roader.

From the leaked images, we can see that the Bronco will be smaller than the Ford Escape, despite sharing the same platform, with a wheelbase measuring just 105.1 inches. Buyers will be able to choose from two engine options, though, with both a 1.5-liter EcoBoost turbo engine and a 2.0-liter EcoBoost turbo motor - the latter being the same one used in models such as the now-discontinued Ford Focus ST. Both engines will be paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission and an AWD system with 17-inch alloy wheels.

Buyers will be able to choose from one of five trims: Base, Big Bend, Outer Banks, Badlands, and a First Edition model which we presume will either be limited in number produced or limited to the first year of production. While we don't yet have the full specification, we do know that the Badlands trim will include features such as dual-zone automatic climate control, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and heated front seats.

There will be a number of customization options, too, including convenience items liked six-way power-adjustable seats, remote start, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, wireless device charging, and reverse park sensors.

Visually, ten colors are available, including standard Ford offerings such as Oxford White, Iconic Silver, and Shadow Black, but also including others like Kodiak Brown, Rapid Red, Cyber Orange, Carbonized Gray, and Cactus Gray. Two particularly interesting sounding paint options called Alto Blue Metallic and Area 51 have also been included, and buyers can select either a black or a gray roof.

The options list unveils some interesting customization too, like orange seat upholstery, Area 51 cloth seats, or Ebony leather seats. There are also two strange options titled 'Roof Conversion-Low Opening' and 'RR Bump-Body Color Mid Series'. We assume the latter is additional body cladding, perhaps on the doors, but the former is currently shrouded in mystery.
