Rivian's upcoming R1T electric pickup and R1S electric SUV are two of the most hotly anticipated new EVs. They both blend strong performance with a luxurious interior and striking looks. Rivian has also gone to great lengths to prove how good the R1T is in an off-road environment. Something else prospective truck or SUV owners want is the availability of a variety of accessories; for instance, Ford has promised just that with its new Bronco. Thanks to a tip-off we received from a user on Rivian Forums, it looks as if both the R1T and R1S will come with loads of accessories for customers with more active lifestyles.

The user doesn't explain exactly where or how he got hold of the images but they do point towards Rivian vehicles being quite customizable. Some of the parts are expected for vehicles in this segment such as crossbars and some hard-wearing rubber floor mats. Others are not typical for EVs, such as roof- (R1S) and bed-mounted (R1T) tents with ladders to access them. Other parts include a wall-mounted charger allegedly from the Wallbox brand, and mounts for surfboards, kayaks, and last but not least, snowboards. Just as well, then, that the R1T acquits itself well in snowy conditions. Of course, there is a mount for a bicycle as well.

A gear shuttle that extends from the side can be used to rest a camp kitchen on it and was shown alongside a recovery kit and a field kit. While taking any EV far away from the city where charging points are more easily accessible remains a cause of anxiety for some, the Rivian's accessories look as though you'll be able to have a lot of fun once you get there. All that Rivian needs to do now is navigate the messy Tesla lawsuit saga and get vehicles into showrooms. Deliveries of the R1T and R1S are due to get underway in January 2022 with the former starting at $67,500 and the latter beginning at $70,000.
