If you've been keeping up with news surrounding the 2022 Honda Civic, you'll be well aware that the Japanese automaker has done an appalling job of containing restricted information on the refreshed car. A leak from earlier this month indicated that the new Civic sedan would be more powerful than the outgoing model, and just a few days later, the production version was caught in the wild weeks ahead of its debut. Now, another leak has sprung, and this one details both the trim variants on offer and what colors each of these will be available in. However, pricing and features have not yet been revealed, and the prototype's exciting orange shade is nowhere to be seen.

Thanks to a post on CivicXI.com, we now know that the 2022 trims we'll be offered are the EX (1.5T), Touring (1.5T), LX (2.0) L4, and Sport (2.0) L5. It seems that the EXL trim has been discontinued, something that doesn't come as much of a surprise following the recent inclusion of Honda Sensing as standard across the lineup, a move that effectively helped bridge the gap between the EX and the Touring without the need for another trim. As for colors, the base model is getting Aegean Blue, Lunar Silver, a new Meteorite Gray, Platinum White, and Rallye Red.

The Touring adds Crystal Black and Sonic Gray to the list while the LX swaps the base model's offering of Morning Mist for just Crystal Black. On the top Sport trim, all colors except Morning Mist are available, but we'll have to wait to see if any new shades are created for the new Type R model. With the regular 2022 Civic expected to arrive in November this year, we've still got quite a wait ahead of us before we learn exactly what changes the car has undergone. Hopefully, they'll be worth the wait, and hopefully, there'll be more leaks to keep us placated until the launch.
