The big reveal: tomorrow.
We're exactly one day away from the official reveal of the 2021 Ford Bronco, the reborn SUV that'll compete directly against the Jeep Wrangler. Needless to say, Ford will be going all-out with the reveal with the livestream appearing on multiple social media channels. It'll be impossible to miss. But until tomorrow, here is the last leaked image we'll see, courtesy of the folks over at the Bronco 6G fan forum.
The headline describes exactly what you're seeing: a Bronco 2-door sans top and doors playing in the sand. Although this image doesn't reveal anything we didn't already know about the Bronco, it's still awfully cool to see.
Along with other previously leaked images, the latest one makes it crystal clear the 2021 Bronco incorporates many design cues from the first-generation Bronco, which debuted way back in 1965. In its second model year, Ford introduced additional body style configurations aside from the 2-door: a two-door wagon, half-cab pickup, and an open-top roadster.
Although none of those are directly coming back over 50 years later, Ford is paying tribute with a removable top and doors. Supposedly, those components will be far easier to remove than those on its Wrangler rival, perhaps one of the latter's most significant drawbacks.
The new Bronco also sports round headlights and an old school grille design. It looks like the ideal blend of old and new. We particularly like the look of the boxy side mirrors and those hood latches. The Bronco, like the Wrangler, is a genuine SUV capable of handling a multitude of off-road scenarios. Attacking sand is just a walk in the park. So let the countdown officially begin.
The all-new 2021 Ford Bronco lineup will debut tomorrow, July 13, at 8:00 pm EST. We'll have full details and photos right here as well. We should all be excited.
