Leaked: Infiniti Emerg-e Patents Make their Way Out

The patents of Infiniti’s latest sports car have found their way online.

French magazine L'Automobile has released the leaked photos of Infiniti's newest sports car, the Emerg-e. The fluid production design gives away the mid-engined model's styling and design lines and the finished product is quite stunning. As previously reported by CarBuzz, the Emerg-e marks Infiniti's first foray into mid-engine automobiles and is a range-extending plug-in hybrid. The rear-wheel drive configured two-seater is performance-driven with zero-emissions capability.

It's 1.2-liter engine is mid-mounted for optimal weight distribution and handling. The Infiniti Emerg-e concept will make its debut at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show in March. We expect the automaker to continue teasing its latest high-profile model up until it makes its official debut, however that would seem a bit redundant now that we have seen the leaked model. It will be followed by an EV sedan at the New York Motor Show in April.
