The 2012 Subaru Impreza for Japan has been leaked a month prematurely.
Photos have just leaked out of the new 2012 Subaru Impreza for Japan. A brochure for the new model has been comandeered and uploaded online, basically giving up the goods on the JDM (Japanese Domestic Market) automobile a full month before its official debut. Things could have been worse for Subaru, as the sedan model for Japan is practically the same car we have already seen in the U.S.
The Impreza runs on a new 2.0-liter boxer engine (which consequently made its debut with the car) that puts out 150hp and 145lb-ft of torque. A 1.6-liter engine will also be offered with slightly less power, written in the brochure as having a 115hp and 109lb-ft of torque output. The U.S. market 2012 Subaru Impreza is set to go on sale next month in November. The JDM Impreza will be officially unveiled in a little over a months' time, on November 30th. The Sport hatchback variant will be titled the G4 in the far eastern market.
