Huracan

Last week there was only a couple brief and blurry teaser images. Today, we nearly have the whole thing. Thanks to Auto Express, this single, rear three-quarter image is of the facelifted 2020 Lamborghini Huracan. But wait, it's no longer just the Huracan but rather the Huracan Evo. Official details and photos are expected any time, but today's photo clearly indicates the updated styling mandate: more aggression.

Lamborghini has borrowed styling and aero elements from its Nurburgring-smashing Huracan Performance and applied them to the new so-called base model. Note the aggressive rear aprons that provide additional downforce, the relocation of the exhaust pipes above the new diffuser, restyled taillights, and new wheel designs.

The Huracan launched four years ago so this refresh comes nearly smack dab in the middle of its 10-year product cycle. Although only the coupe is being shown for now, expect all new Huracan variants, including the Spyder and LP580-2 rear-wheel-drive versions, to receive the exact same updates. What will not be receiving these updates are the Huracan Performante models because they just launched. There's still at least five or six years of life left in the Huracan so Lamborghini is in no immediate rush to replace its baby supercar.

As far as power goes, we expect for the Huracan's naturally aspirated 5.2-liter V10 to receive a slight output bump to around 612 hp. Zero to 60 mph and top speed times may also change but, again, we'll have to wait to hear from Lamborghini to confirm that.

And speaking of power increase, chances are the refreshed V10 supercar will officially be called the Huracan Evo LP620-4. The timing of this significant update follows that of the Huracan's corporate cousin, the Audi R8, which also received more aggressive styling and engine updates. We also expect to see a slight price increase. Following its online reveal, the 2020 Lamborghini Huracan will likely be shown to the public for the first time in three months' time at Geneva.
