The awesome Ectomobile 1959 Cadillac Miller-Meteor is back from the dead in Lego's 30th anniversary set.
Commemorating the 30th anniversary of the epic blockbuster Ghostbusters, Lego has just announced it will release a special edition box set based on a fan's idea. Brent Waller's design incorporates the Ghostbusters building, the various ghost-fighting characters - including Ray, Egon, Winston and Peter - and above all, the unforgettable Ectomobile, Ecto-1, which was the 'busters main form of transportation.
The car in the movie was a 1959 Cadillac Miller-Meteor ambulance, converted to fight ghosts whenever the team was called. When Ray Stantz buys it in the movie, he says it needs a little bit of work, including: "suspension work and shocks, brakes, brake pads, lining, steering box, transmission, rear end... new rings, mufflers, a little wiring...." From the looks of it, Lego has got the car already fixed up and ready to be driven by customers - who will presumably all be above the age of 30.
