On the occasion of Lamborghini's 50th birthday, the crew from Jay Leno's Garage heads to Amelia Island.
Jay Leno is a known Lamborghini enthusiast and owner of several examples of Sant'Agata's finest, including a Miura, Espada and a Countach. But instead of looking at his cars, Leno sent his production crew out to Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance to interview Lamborghini's legendary test driver, Valentino Balboni, in celebration of the company's 50th anniversary. The man who quite possibly had the best job ever recalls how he first worked as a mechanic's apprentice at the company, rising to lead test driver in the 80s.
Balboni's favorite Lamborghini to date? The Miura. Also interviewed is Lambo's US chief Michael Lock who discusses the one-off 1968 Miura Roadster concept. (Photos courtesy of Jay Leno's Garage, Lamborghini and Rashba.com.)
