Leno Drives F-Type V8 and Project 7 Concept

One-off

The one- and two-seater roadsters are given the once over by car-loving chat show host.

As it took Jaguar so long to get the new F-Type to Jay Leno, the British carmaker made up for its tardiness by also giving Denim Chin some time with the one-off F-Type-based Project 7. That was a car designed to showcase the marque in its purest form. There’s no roof or passenger seat, the windshield has been trimmed down, and the one-seater concept comes with D-type-inspired rear fairing with a rollover hoop. It also has 50 more horsepower than the F-Type V8 S that Leno lusts over after taking it for a ride.

Leno feels the F-Type is essentially a muscle car with European handling and refinement. Now if that’s not a ringing endorsement for the car, I don’t know what is.
