With bars, restaurants, and most public areas closed due to the Covid-19 outbreak, people are looking for anything they can use to kill a few hours of their evening. Automakers are coming up with clever ideas to keep people occupied during self-quarantine. For example, Toyota released paper cutouts of the 86 for fans to build and Audi published a coloring book. While taking a scenic drive by yourself doesn't technically break social distancing rules, some areas are much stricter about letting people leave their homes.

So if you are stuck at home but still want the feeling of a scenic road trip, Audi has you covered. The company's Australian division just released a four-hour-long video journey in a 2020 Audi A6 sedan, showing the majestic views of New South Wales, Australia.

"During this difficult time for many of us, Audi wanted to create an innovative way of bringing the iconic Australian road trip to people in their homes," said Nikki Warburton, chief marketing officer at Audi Australia. "'The Drive' is a digital concept that allows customers to experience the pleasure of the open road from the confines of their home, and to hopefully offer Australians some tranquillity and mental wellbeing during these uncertain and unsettling times."

The video features driving footage from inside the Audi A6, making you feel like you are actually behind the wheel. The driving footage is also mixed in with some breathtaking aerial shots as well as a camera angle showing the view from the rear side window, making it look a bit like a child is riding in the backseat during a family road trip. During the duration of the video, soft, relaxing music plays in the background so it is perfect to have it on while you work. If you miss the feeling of driving in a car, this Audi video at least gives you a small taste of it.
