For the 2023 model year, Lexus has announced that the RC coupe and the higher-performance RC F version are on the receiving end of several updates, including standard safety features and optional infotainment, appearance, and performance packages. However, Lexus doesn't mention the expected handling upgrades both models received in Japan. Both versions do get a price increase with a $1,000 added to the RC's base price while the RC F base model raises by just $375.

The standard upgrade is the more comprehensive Lexus Safety System+ 2.5, which includes pre-collision with pedestrian detection, low light pedestrian and daylight bicyclist detection, left turn intersection support, lane departure warning with steering assist, automatic intelligent high beam assist, enhanced radar cruise control, enhance lane tracing assist, and road sign assist technology.

For 2023, RC models get a lightly updated interior that visits the instrument panels and glovebox. A 10.3-inch touchscreen display is now available (standard 8-inch) for the updated RC.

The RC models gain F Sport appearance package options that include bi-tone exterior colors that include the Incognito (grey) body color paired with an Obsidian roof and hood and dark finish 19-inch Enkei alloy wheels.

Power remains the same with the base RC 300 2.0-liter turbo engine making 241 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque through an eight-speed automatic. The 3.5-liter V6 with the all-wheel-drive option makes 260 hp and 236 lb-ft of torque. The RC 350 dispenses with the four-cylinder option, and its V6 makes 311 hp and 280 lb-ft of torque whether the drive goes to all wheels or just the rear wheels.

The RC F will continue to have a performance package, the return of a Track Edition. The Track Edition includes features like a carbon fiber hood, roof, a fixed rear wing, unique black and blue Alcantara interior trim, Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes, Hitachi shocks, and will be available with Incognito paint.

A Carbon Package will also be available and includes exterior features including a carbon fiber roof, rear bumper, lip and air dam front spoiler, door lower molding, a retractable wing rear spoiler, and 19-inch matte black wheels. The interior includes carbon fiber interior trim, and Lexus Intuitive Parking Assist has been added.

The RC F's 5.0-liter engine is still the powerful V8 Lexus offers, making 472 hp. RC and RC F 2023 models are expected to reach dealerships early this year.
