This may just be the best-looking mass production Lexus model to date.
Judging by everyone's reactions yesterday regarding the new Lexus RC, the Japanese automaker appears to have officially left boring behind. That sleek new coupe represents a huge shift for Lexus in its quest to effectively take on the likes of the new BMW 4 Series and Audi A5. Based on the IS sedan, the RC, according to chief engineer Junichi Furuyama, is a "new coupe in its own right. It is an independent model. It's not a deviated version of the IS so it has its own unique styling and its own unique performance."
But what we're really waiting for is the eventual RC F high-performance variant which is rumored to have a V8. In the meantime, Lexus released more RC photos and this brief video.
