To celebrate their 100th birthday, this long-time Lexus fan bought himself a new luxury LS 600h L sedan. Except this wasn't an ordinary LS – it's a one-off model made by Lexus to commemorate the customer's 100th birthday. The custom car was made for Barry High OBE to reward his loyalty to the brand over the years. When Lexus UK realized he had bought 25 cars in 16 years from the Cheltnham-based Lexus dealership, the automaker created the unique 600h L Centenary Celebration Edition for Barry to collect on his 100th birthday.

Distinguishing the Lexus LS 600h L Centenary Celebration Edition from standard models is bespoke pin-striping, chrome badges and a special "100" script located on the wings. It's finished in metallic silver paint and a cream leather interior, as chosen by Barry. He has been purchasing Lexus' cars for years," Dean Cordell, senior sales executive at Cheltenham Lexus, told Gloucestershire Live. "Lexus is aware of this and wanted to do this for him, and Barry took us up on the offer. Once it came off the production line it was made into something special for him - it's a real one off. The day went very well indeed. The car was all under wraps and undercover when he arrived."

"There was a formal celebration and a toast of champagne - he was extremely pleased." Barry paid £100,000 (around $128,000) for the Lexus LS 600h L Centenary Celebration Edition, which features the same 5.0-liter V8 engine mated to an electric motor that produces a combined 445-horsepower as the standard car. He won't be driving it himself, however - he has a chauffeur to do that. If only more car manufacturers would reward customer loyalty like this.
