The Marvel Cinematic Universe is filled with exciting vehicles, both real and fictional.

Tony Stark famously drove an Audi R8 in Iron Man, and since then, we've seen tons of tie-ins with various brands for the films within the MCU and the commercials aired outside it. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is the next installment in the popular superhero franchise. Like the original Black Panther film, the sequel features a partnership with the Japanese luxury brand Lexus.

The first movie featured an LC 500 driven remotely in a car chase. In the sequel, the Lexus LC Convertible will add some cool factor with its drop-top roof, while the Lexus GX will likely participate in an off-road sequence thanks to its body-on-frame capability.

Though it won't be present in the film itself, the 2023 Lexus RZ 450e electric SUV will be featured in a 90-second collaboration video.

The film stars the fictional African nation of Wakanda's all-female Royal Guard, the Dora Milaje, led by General Okoye (played by Danai Gurira). Okoye and her fellow guards avoid their pursuers in the RZ.

We hope the chase scene is pretty short because the RZ only comes with up to 225 miles of range. On the plus side, it should be reasonably quick, with over 300 horsepower on tap.

"By returning to our successful relationship with Marvel Studios for the highly anticipated sequel to Black Panther we are taking this collaboration to another level," said Vinay Shahani, Lexus' vice president of marketing. "The technology, creativity, and imagination we encounter in the futuristic nation of Wakanda is a natural fit for the sustainable, global society Lexus envisions with the introduction of our most advanced vehicle ever, the fully-electric RZ 450e, further extending our electrified vehicle portfolio."

"The power, elegance, and future-forward vision of the Lexus brand aligns perfectly with the Black Panther franchise. We couldn't be happier to team up with Lexus once again to bring an action-packed story and supporting 360 campaign to life," said Mindy Hamilton, Senior Vice President of Global Partnership Marketing at The Walt Disney Company.

This is far from the first time Lexus and Marvel successfully collaborated on an ad campaign. The automaker previously worked on an ad for Eternals where an IS 500 drives through a collapsing city.

"I hope people watch the ad and feel like they are in a great movie. For each Lexus spot, I treat the vehicle like a character, so like a Marvel character, the RZ 450e is the hero. It is the star," said director Anthony Leonardi III. "I hope viewers feel like they are along for the ride."
