The 2010 Lexus GS is sold as both the V6 powered GS350 and the V8 powered GS 460. Both offer a luxurious interior and the traditionally strong resale value of a Lexus product. The 2010 GS has been called one of the best luxury cars available for its price, and it is best in class long for long term cost. For 2010, the GS has changed little, and it's an exceptionally comfortable car with first rate quality, reliability and enough power to meet the needs of most drivers.

Each car, GS350 and GS460, comes in only one very well equipped trim level. Although little has changed between the 2009 and 2010 model years, Lexus has updated the car's navigation system and offers several new colors of paint. Also newly available on the 2010 GS is Lexus' new emergency telematics system, called Lexus Enform with Safety Connect. The 2010 GS is a capable handler, with precise steering and a smooth ride. The GS is available with a choice of two engines. Both are smooth and quiet, but only one is truly powerful.

The Lexus GS350 is equipped with a 3.5-liter V6, which makes 303 horsepower. The Lexus GS460, on the other hand, has a 4.6-liter V8 engine making 342 horsepower. It's more formidable competition for the sport sedans common in this price range. There is no manual transmission offered, and the GS350 models come with a six speed automatic, which can be shifted manually. The GS460 models come with the only eight speed automatic on the market, which is also shiftable.

The 2010 GS offers a conservatively sophisticated look and excellent build quality, but some feel it's a bit bland next to some of the more aggressive-looking luxury sedans.
