Discounts on remaining previous model year vehicles are nothing new, but sometimes there's an amazing factory offer on a particular vehicle even dealerships have never seen before. This is one of those cases.

For the month of January, the 2019 Lexus LC 500 is being offered with not one but two incredible discounts. The first is $7,500 in Lexus Cash. The 2020 LC 500, to compare, is currently being offered with just $3,500 in Lexus Cash. The LC 500 was unchanged for 2020. And then there's this: an additional $10,000 bonus cash on 2019 models. This latter offer is only available in the following states: Indiana, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio, and Wisconsin.

This means you can buy a brand new 2019 Lexus LC 500 right now for $17,500 in savings, assuming you register the car in one of those states. And yes, this offer is even better than what Lexus had going last July for leftover 2018 LC500s.

CarBuzz reached out to an Ohio Lexus dealership to confirm these cash incentives and whether they can be combined. The answer is 'yes' for both. These offers are valid until February 3, 2020.

With $17,500 already slashed off the price, you'd think it couldn't get any better. Well, it can, though it'll depend on your negotiating skills. You see, there's a difference between what the dealer pays for the vehicle and what it sells it for.

For example, a 2019 Lexus LC 500 could have a list price of around $105,000 but the dealer's invoice is $95,000. That means there's an additional $10k in potential savings. If a 2019 LC 500 has been sitting on a Lexus dealer's lot for six months or so, the sales manager could be willing to let it go for invoice price, or close to it. Dealers also pay interest every month on unsold vehicles, yet another reason to make a deal happen.

Add everything together and it's possible to buy a 2019 Lexus LC 500 this month for around $27,500 in savings, as long as it's registered in those listed states. A $105,000 car could sell for $77,500. That's even cheaper than buying a used example in some cases.

Even with $17,500 in savings you're still looking at a price of $87,500. Obviously it's important to shop around and phone some dealerships, but an offer like this is incredibly rare. The sales representative we spoke to was equally shocked. Happy shopping.
