Lexus is planning an LFA Roadster that will enter production by 2014 and cost around $700,000.

The idea of a Lexus LFA Roadster came back in 2008 with a concept, but now, the Japanese automaker plans on a 2014 release date. Lexus plans on reviving their brand with the launch of the new GS that promises to be a lot more special than the previous generation of sedans only. Automotive News states that once the current run of 500 coupe versions of the LFA is finalized and after a year-long break on production, Lexus will begin producing the much-anticipated LFA Roadster.

Under the hood, the LFA Roadster is expected to come equipped with the same 4.8-liter V10 engine delivering a blistering output of 552hp and 354 lb-ft of torque. Lexus Australia recently stated that 10 Lexus LFA vehicles are set to make their arrival to the land down under. Pricing for the Lexus LFA Roadster begins at $700,000.
