Lexus hasn't been shy lately regarding its upcoming EV plans. The RZ 450e crossover, which shares the e-TNGA platform with the also-new Toyota bZ4X and Subaru Solterra, will be fully unveiled this spring ahead of sales getting underway by the end of the year. Despite Toyota CEO Akio Toyoda's public misgivings about the viability of EVs and the necessary infrastructure to support them, the Japanese automaker will continue adding more to the lineup. It's the same deal for its Lexus luxury division.

Lexus has just revealed additional photos of the stunning electric car it says will "revive" the spirit of the famed LFA, a supercar powered by an all-powerful naturally aspirated V10 engine. The unnamed vehicle, interestingly, is not referred to as a concept, which makes us speculate even more than what we're looking at here is, in fact, fairly close to the real deal.

All the more interesting is that this EV supercar will supposedly get solid-state batteries instead of the typical lithium-ion technology found in a majority of today's EVs, including Teslas. Toyota claims the new batteries will enable a cruising range in excess of 430 miles on a single charge. Lexus did not provide a status update regarding the solid-state battery tech. Performance-wise, a 0-60 mph time "in the low two-second range" is in the cards. No complaints there.

Along with the supercar, Lexus released additional images of two other upcoming EVs in advanced concept design stages, a slick-looking sedan and an SUV larger than the RZ. All four EVs make up the brand's "Lexus Electrified" vision.

Looking more closely at the LFA successor because, let's face it, this is the one everyone will be keeping a close eye on, take note of its long hood, short rear deck, and a stunning side profile. One thing that's particularly interesting is the complete lack of rear glass, leading us to speculate it's been replaced by cameras. Also, there are no exhaust tips because we all know why. We do see a few touches of Toyota Supra and a few nods to the LFA itself though this design remains very much its own thing.

Hopefully, Lexus will have more details in the coming few months and, even more exciting, an official announcement regarding its next supercar.
