There's little question that Lexus has risen to challenge the Germans at the top of the luxury car market. But what of its performance models? Toyota's luxury division has been keen to get in on the action claimed by Mercedes AMG, BMW's M division and Audi's Quattro GmbH (which makes the S and RS lines). Case in point the LFA supercar and the IS F performance sedan. But Lexus isn't about to stop there. The latest generation of LS flagship sedans includes the F Sport model, which is more cosmetic than performance-tuned.

As a result, it may not be quite at the same level as the S65 AMG or Audi S8, but it's a step in the right direction for a model line known more for its cushy ride than its performance capabilities. But for those who find the F Sport still not enough, TRD has stepped up with some further enhancements. The Toyota Racing Development package for the LS F Sport includes a front lip spoiler, side and rear skirts with apertures for the quad exhaust tips and a set of 20-inch forget wheels. So far the kit has only been listed on TRD's Japanese website, so the look-at-me parts for the elegant sedan may never make their way to the US market at all.
