Get ready to meet the BMW M4's worst fear.
Lexus will soon be selling what has got to be the best-looking mass production model it has ever built (the LFA was very limited production). The all-new RC coupe looks nothing like anything else on the road today and it's truly a design breakthrough for the Japanese brand. What's missing, however, is a high-performance version that can fully take on the likes of the BMW M4. Fortunately, we've seen spy shots confirming that such a model is in development and now word has it that it'll debut in production form at Detroit next month.
The timing of the debut makes perfect sense because, coincidently or not, the latest M4 is also set to be unveiled at the same event. The RC F's powertrain has yet to be confirmed, but previous rumors suggested it'll be powered by a 5.0-liter V8 that'll be good for at least 450 horsepower. The M4, by comparison, will have around 430 hp. We'll hopefully have complete details about this future matchup in the coming weeks.
