Has Lexus done enough to tempt buyers away from the M4?
Just this week, Lexus released official pricing for the 2015 RC F. If you fancy having one sat in your garage it will cost you $63,325, including shipping. The M4 begins at $65,125. The RC F will forever be compared against the M4, so Autocar’s Steve Sutcliffe took it for a drive to see just how capable it is on the road and track. With its naturally aspirated 5.0-liter generating 467 horsepower, the M4 definitely has a new rival to contend with. Lexus claims the RC F will make the jump from 0-60 mph in 4.4 seconds. The M4 does it in 3.9 seconds. The reason is that the RC F weighs nearly 400 lbs more.
There’s much to love about both cars. So where do your allegiances lie?
