A long-standing partnership between the Sydney Motorsport Park and Lexus Australia has resulted in track officials being granted a specially-equipped GS 350 F Sport to act as safety car. Glenn Matthews, CEO of Sydney Motorsport Park and Australian Racing Drivers' Club, is delighted to have the GS at the course. "The GS 350 not only looks fantastic, but the feedback I've had from the drivers is that it's a really enjoyable vehicle to drive."

A permanent resident at the track, the F Sport edition will act as the safety car for a variety of races this season, starting with the 2012 Muscle Car Classic on September 1. The GS 350 comes with a 3.5-liter V6, delivering 306 horsepower, and is capable of sprinting from 0-62 mph in 6 seconds. F Sport models boast exclusive styling and an aggressive sports body. Special features include Lexus Dynamic Handling System, Adaptive Variable Suspension and a 2-piece front rotor and 4 piston caliper brake package. Couple all that with a special livery, emergency lighting and safety equipment and this could be the baddest Lexus this side of the LFA.
