Having revealed a new special edition of its LX SUV followed by a special edition ES, the Lexus RX has now received the same treatment. Joining the Black Line series, Lexus will offer 750 units of the RX 350 model and 250 units of the RX Hybrid, with all 1,000 models boasting special F Sport styling accents. Among these changes is a decal on the rockers, new 20-inch wheels painted in black, monochromatic grille surrounds, and black leather seats with white touches and blue contrast stitching.

The changes don't stop there, with the Black Line models also featuring body-color wheel arches. Speaking of the body color, the RX F Sport Black Line can be had in either Ultra White or an all-new blue called Grecian Water. These colors are contrasted by gloss black mirrors while subtle F Sport badges give a nod to the unique front fascia and restyled bumpers. Under the skin, the RX models also get F Sport performance dampers for a better drive. You also get a leather-wrapped gear-lever, scored aluminum trim, and aluminum pedals. In addition, there's a luggage set that accompanies the new model.

Commissioned by Zero Halliburton, the two-piece travel set features a chrome logo badged laser etched with the script "Zero Halliburton for Lexus" along with a unique interior lining and a Lexus embossed leather logo badge. The cases are a 22-inch carry-on and a 26-inch medium-sized case, both of which are black. There's no doubt that the package looks great, but what will it cost?

The recommended retail price is listed as $50,635 for the RX 350 version and $51,885 for the RX 450h hybrid version of the special model. Is this a special edition worth considering? Based on that blue shade of paint, it may just be.
