Automakers keep coming up with creative ways to celebrate the launch of a model, and this latest collaboration between Lexus and Sriracha is a brilliant one. Lexus has created a bolder, spicier customized version of the original: the Lexus Sriracha IS, after joining forces with the authentic, beloved sauce made by Huy Fong Foods. "The new Lexus IS is so hot, we decided to make it Sriracha hot, with all the custom details every Sriracha fan will appreciate," said Brian Smith, Lexus vice president of marketing.

The video made for the reveal of the car is possibly better than the car itself and has a few laughs in it for good measure. Seems a fair bit of work was done on the IS too.

This 2017 Lexus IS has a host of changes from West Coast Customs to make it the Sriracha IS. The paint was custom blended with added flakes to resemble Sriracha sauce inside the bottle, The steering wheel is a cast red resin, AC settings to up to Sriracha hot, Sport Mode is now Sriracha Mode, there are custom seats with logos, Sriracha IS badges were added and green accents as seen on Sriracha products were added around the car. The key fob has an emergency chili dispenser too. A custom driving jacket and driving and driving mitts were also made, because the handling on the Sriracha IS is so hot, custom oven mitts are necessary.
