Lexus Tipped to Debut Redesigned RX at 2015 Detroit Motor Show

Rumor

Redesigned crossover will be bigger and lighter.

Lexus has already teased a new F model will be unveiled in Detroit next month, with all signs pointing to a GS-F. And now word has come in that the Japanese luxury carmaker will also showcase a redesigned RX. The family-focused crossover is expected to arrive with an aluminum hood and liftgate in an effort to cut some weight. However, to help differentiate the model from the NX, it is also expected to grow in size, with a third row of seats a distinct possibility. Engine options should carry over but will come mated to a new eight-speed transmission.
