Having revealed Black Line special editions for the popular RX and NX crossovers and, more recently, the GS sedan and RC coupe, Lexus has now unveiled the 2021 Lexus UX 250h Black Line Special Edition, the latest in this series that will be limited to just 1,000 examples. Based on the UX 250h Premium ('h', as in Hybrid), Lexus has given the vehicle several exterior styling upgrades based on customer and dealership feedback. Three exterior colors will be offered: Eminent White Pearl, Caviar, and Grecian Water.

Regardless of the chosen color, every vehicle features color-keyed fenders that extend to the bottom of the wheel well. A set of 18-inch wheels with a black finish and black lug nuts, black grille, blackened headlamps, black side mirrors, and black roof rails are all standard.

Step inside and Lexus is offering customers a choice between Black and Birch NuLuxe-trimmed seats complete with blue accents and seatbelts. Even the floor and cargo mats share this color contrast. Convenience features like a power rear door with a kick sensor, heated steering wheel, auto-dimming inside mirror, windshield de-icer, wireless charging, and parking assist are also all standard fare.

Moving beyond the crossover itself, buyers will also be treated to a two-piece set of customized travel cases made by Zero Halliburton exclusively for Lexus. This set, a lightweight 22-inch international carry-on bag and a 26-inch travel case, even has a name, the Edge Lightweight Collection for Lexus. What makes it so special?

These bags come with, among other unique styling traits, a chrome logo badge laser etched with 'Zero Halliburton for Lexus', an opulent interior lining with the still controversial Lexus grille motif, and an embossed brand leather logo badge. Upon purchase of the UX 250h Black Line, the suitcases will be directly shipped to owners.

Under the hood lies the same 2.0-liter naturally aspirated inline-four engine with dual electric motors for a combined output of 181 horsepower. Power is sent to all four wheels through a CVT automatic. The 2021 Lexus UX 250h Black Line Special Edition will go on sale next spring and pricing will be revealed closer to that time.
