Liberty Walk, a tuning company famous for its ultra-wide body kits, tends to specialize in Japanese cars. Still, this year it decided to enter a C8 as one of its SEMA competitors, and it ended up stealing the show. While this particular car is a one-off, you can get a similar kit called the LB-Silhouette.

The C8 Corvette is one stylish beast; this mid-engine supercar-killer leaves the GM factory floor already looking mean and lean, but some have accused this American exotic of being too skinny.

Many widebody kits already exist for this car, but none do the broad look better than Liberty Walk. This one-of-a-kind Corvette looks menacing in its Gray color scheme, which is highlighted by some tasteful black highlights, but the star of the show has to be those massively flared wheel arches.

The front end also gets a makeover with a massive front splitter and a redesigned bumper. The hood features some aggressive aero creases.

The car is far from stock from the side: the side sills look wide enough to land a plane on, and the front bumper seamlessly flows into the front fenders. At the rear, this C8 gets a humongous rear wing and a more aggressive diffuser setup.

Some of you might think this is going too far in the other direction, in which case we recommend a Z06 with the Z07 Package. It adds an extended front splitter, dive planes on the side, and a fixed rear wing, but it's far more subtle than Liberty Walk's effort.

The look is completed with a set of five-spoke alloy wheels and a lowering kit that drops this Corvette to the floor.

The car is covered in sponsor decals, giving it an early 2000s tuner look that might divide opinion. There's no word on engine modifications, so we're assuming the 6.2-liter naturally-aspirated engine has been left stock.

That means this lowered, widebody 'Vette has 490 horsepower and 495 lb-ft of torque and a 0-60 mph time of around three seconds. The top speed of 194 mph has undoubtedly been reduced thanks to that massive wing.

The LB-Silhouette kit costs $19,580 if you want it in reinforced plastic and $21,780 in carbon-reinforced plastic. These prices exclude shipping costs from Japan.
