Despite having a host of technology and all-wheel drive, the Porsche 918 Spyder is a hypercar that's a handful to drive. It may be the most user-friendly member of the holy trinity, but the previous owner of number 830 wrecked the car after putting just 92 miles on it. Now, the hypercar is on sale at a salvage auction in Long Island, New York, with bidding sitting at $101,000 at the time of this writing. While another vehicle with this much damage would be declared a total loss, it's a different story with limited-edition hypercars. They're actually not awful investments.

Remember the Ferrari Enzo that was restored after being ripped in half in an accident that sold for $1.76 million? Well, one lucky individual with an incredible amount of patience and money can bring this 918 Spyder back to life. However, after seeing how much replacement parts cost, it might be cheaper to go with a working model. There's no way to know how high bidding will get to, but with a little less than two days left before the auction is over, it will surely sell for less than the lightly damaged Bugatti Veyron that sold of $277,000 a few years ago.
