After Lexus launched special Black Line versions of the Lexus IS and Lexus NX, the Lexus GS luxury sedan has now been given the Black Line treatment. Based on the 2020 Lexus GS 350 F Sport, the new special-edition sedan features an array of exterior and interior enhancements, including Gloss Black F Sport wheels, Gloss Black grille inserts at the front, a unique black rear spoiler, and black mirror caps that contrast with the Ultra White or Caviar exterior colors. Orange brake calipers are also available for the RWD model.

Inside the cabin, red accents are applied to the door panels, steering wheel, and center console, contrasted with black leather on the contoured seat surfaces with Rioja Red accents.

In addition, the instrument panel, console and armrest finish are trimmed in Alcantara. In a first for a Lexus Black Line series model, the GS Black Line includes a two-piece luggage set designed by Zero Halliburton with a cushion-cut, chrome logo badge laser-etched with 'Zero Halliburton for Lexus', interior lining embroidered with Lexus Spindle Grille Art and interior compression panels embossed with the Lexus logo in leather.

The custom Lexus Black Line Zero Halliburton luggage set also includes an Edge Lightweight 22-inch Continental Carry-on and a 26-inch Medium Travel Case, which are both finished in black.

Like all GS 350 F Sport models, the 2020 Lexus GS Black Line is powered by a 3.5-liter V6 engine producing 311 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque, enabling the luxury sedan to sprint from 0-62 mph in 5.7 seconds with rear-wheel drive. Power can be sent to the rear or all four wheels through either an eight-speed automatic or six-speed manual transmission.

Sales for the 2020 Lexus GS Black Line will start in the summer at US dealers. Only 200 examples will be produced and the car can be specced with rear-wheel or all-wheel drive. Pricing will be announced closer to the on-sale date, but expect to pay a premium over the standard Lexus GS 350 F Sport, which starts at $52,760.
