Limited Edition Lister Thunder Is A Jaguar F-Type Taken To The Extreme

"The brief to the design team at Lister was simple; To design and build the fastest, most powerful and most luxurious production Lister ever made. The Lister Thunder answers and exceeds this brief in every respect," he said. The Lister Thunder also features fully adjustable racing dampers, huge 22-inch wheels, custom brake callipers, and a lightweight exhaust system that saves a further 10 kg and produces a thunderous exhaust note that lives up to the car's name. Bespoke body enhancements give the car a more menacing look, such as a custom-made carbon fiber front bumper which features an extended splitter giving the car greater downforce.

The rear bumper is also bespoke, featuring a carbon fiber design housing the enlarged rear Lister carbon exhaust tips. A carbon fiber hood will be available as an optional extra, while a retro-fit carbon fiber kit will also to be offered by Lister for existing Jaguar F-Types. The rear badge is made from solid brass and is chrome plated. Inside, the hand-stitched interior is finished in the UK's highest grade Nappa leather in a choice of 36 colors with the Lister name embroidered in the headrests. No car will be the same out of the 99 Lister Thunders going into production, as customers will have regular contact with the manufacturer to determine their bespoke specification.

"Like Brabus and AMG with Mercedes and Alpina with BMW, we are hoping to become synonymous once again with tuning Jaguar vehicles, giving customers new enhanced, bespoke performance and design alternatives to Jaguar's acclaimed model program,"said Lawrence Whittaker, CEO of Lister Motor Company. "Although we are not directly affiliated with Jaguar Land Rover, Lister has a Jaguar tuning heritage dating back 65 years. Our new Lister Thunder is the fastest and most powerful Lister ever created, with a 208 mph top speed and 0-100 time of just 6.8 seconds. I am utterly proud of what we have achieved, and the Thunder is just the beginning!"

The Lister Thunder will make its public debut at the Historic Motorsport International at London's ExCeL on February 15. It won't come cheap though, as the Lister Thunder will set you back a wallet-crunching £139,950 ($198,089).
