Although the long running panther platform has been officially discontinued, Lincoln has officially unveiled the all-important replacements. With the Town Car out of the picture, Lincoln will be filling the void with the chauffer-dedicated MKT Town Car. Available in two different body styles, Livery and Limousine, Lincoln is describing them as "modern, distinctive and high-tech...including up to 35 more horsepower under the hood."

Some of these technologies include a USB charging port, rear-view camera, Wi-Fi hotspot capability for mobile tablets, voice-activated navigation and the latest Lincoln SYNC system. Comfort is obviously the ultimate goal as Lincoln has pushed the rear seats of the MKT further back to increase legroom by 1.5 inches. The rear seats also recline and rear seat passengers can also control the front passenger seat in order to give themselves even more legroom. The MKT Town Car's cargo room has also increased over the old Town Car, now offering 39.6 cubic feet of space.

Front wheel drive is standard and all-wheel drive is optional. The chassis can be stretched up to an additional 10 feet in length to accommodate further customization jobs. No official pricing has been released yet and Lincoln previewed only interior pictures so far.
