When you think of Linkin Park, chances are you don't think of a V8-powered AMG-badged Mercedes. Well, in order to keep up with the Mercedes-Benz tradition of doing something odd every once in a while, they partnered with Linkin Park to design a car. The car in question is a full race-prepped AMG GT3 which made its debut at the recent running of the Spa 24 Hours. As it turns out the members of Linkin Park are huge car fans and jumped at the opportunity to work with Mercedes, although this wasn't the first time the two have partnered up.

The band most recently worked with Mercedes on the debut of the AMG GT R by allowing the use of their song "Papercut" in the car's debut video. After that, Mercedes approached the guys about designing a livery for its race car. It turns out that two of the band's members, DJ Joe Hahn and guitarist and keyboardist Mike Shinoda, have backgrounds in design and were more than happy to take a crack at designing a car. As you can see in the pictures below, the final result features a red, black and silver color scheme. The car also features the Linkin Park logo prominently on the hood and on the rear wing. The band was at the Spa 24 Hours to watch the debut of their car, which ended up finishing in 20th place.
