The Chevrolet Corvette is an all-American sports car and has a loyal army of fans that follow all the latest developments. So when the 2023 Corvette Z06 Dealer Tour recently visited Stingray Chevrolet in Plant City, a large crowd of people flocked to the scene where a brand new 2023 C8 Corvette Z06 was doing a few laps around the parking lot and letting its glorious V8 engine roar. In this YouTube video posted by Corvette: Sales, News & Lifestyle, we get to share in the glory that is the new Z06 and enjoy the goosebumps that accompany every blip of the gas pedal.

The 2023 Z06 has been one of the most anticipated Chevy performance vehicles to roll off of the production line in years, and with good reason; this is the closest the Corvette has ever come to being called a true supercar (without asking supercar prices). The exterior of this yellow hornet shares most of its design with the regular Stingray, but there are a few more aggressive body parts to distinguish it from the base model, including a huge rear wing and a quad-exit central exhaust. The main reason for the large crowd isn't the Z06's looks however, it's what's under the hood. The 5.5-liter LT6 engine in the Z06 isn't your ordinary V8; this engine produces 670 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque and features a rev limit of a sky-high 8,600 rpm.

In the video, Corvette fans get treated to a cold start that is sure to set off some car alarms in a suburban setting. Once the Corvette is up to temperature, the driver gives it a few blips on the loud pedal, and we have to admit that it sounds decidedly exotic, mostly thanks to that Ferrari-inspired flat-plane crank. The Z06 then takes a lap around the parking lot where it truly sounds like an Italian supercar. We can't wait to hear what these cars are going to sound like once the aftermarket exhausts start coming in, but even in stock form, the Z06 is sure to thrill.
