Don't expect the debate to resolve anything.
Summer is usually the time when supercars and various other ultraluxury machines begin popping up all over London. Sure, a few belong to residents who see the warmer weather as cause to take the cars out of storage, but what seems to have become a majority are cars from oil rich Middle Eastern countries. The influx sparks debate every year, with some complaining that the cars’ owners lack respect for local laws.
Others say that it is only a small number giving the rest a bad name, or even that racism is the real reason for the complaints. Either way, the debate hasn’t cooled off with the weather this year.
