Lordstown Motors, the all-electric truck company that now occupies the sprawling Lordstown, Ohio manufacturing facility previously home to the Chevrolet Cruze, has a new announcement that'll appeal to RV enthusiasts and future Endurance truck owners.

The EV truck company has joined forces with Camping World, America's largest retailer of RVs to create a nationwide collision repair and service network for Endurance owners. Camping World could also potentially sell Endurance trucks.

The second piece of news is that Lordstown will provide its platform for a new all-electric high-volume RV. Lithium-ion battery packs for travel trailers are also included in the agreement as they're the ideal replacement for gasoline onboard generators.

Camping World has over 170 service and collision centers across the country plus a 24/7 hotline and Good Sam's Roadside Assistance Program. Lordstown fleet customers and owners are set to gain access to all of this.

"The future is now, and the realization of electrifying RVs and the outdoor community is within our grasp and will only grow from here," said Marcus Lemonis, Chairman and CEO of Camping World.

Lordstown will immediately begin overseeing the integration of its electrification technologies general service requirements and parts network into Camping World's infrastructure while continuing to open its own service centers.

"Lordstown's partnership with Camping World will help us help ensure that our fleet customers have the highest possible up-time of their vehicles," said Lordstown Motors CEO Steve Burns. "On top of that, working with Marcus and his team to bring EV solutions to the RV market is quite exciting, and I'm excited about the first-to-market opportunities this partnership affords us."

The Lordstown Endurance, which destroyed a Ford F-150 in a recent tug-of-war battle, debuted last summer as a rival to the Tesla Cybertruck, Rivian R1T, and Ford's upcoming all-electric F-150.

Marketed as a fleet vehicle, the Endurance has rather toned-down styling but remains highly capable with around 600 horsepower and peak torque of 4,000 lb-ft, plus a 7,500-pound towing capacity. Pricing will begin at $52,000 and a full years' worth of reservations has already been placed. Production is slated to kick off in January 2021.
